Hey there Rock Stars! Welcome to Days 14-18 of the 30 Day Challenge to Rock Your Network Marketing Business! #RYNMB30 (It’s not too late to join us! Start your 30 days on whatever day you find this challenge! ) For more info, and for a tracking sheet CLICK HERE!

I’m really excited for our next few challenge posts, as they will touch on my favorite topic: SOCIAL MEDIA! Social media is not the only way, but rather A way to power prospect for new customers and consultants! Remember–nothing takes the place of bringing the conversation offline to tell them more about your business or product, but it is a great way to start up a conversation.

Keep your eyes glued to the blog for our upcoming posts, which will include some implementation time to put into practice what you learn. Don’t forget, this is training in addition to our Day 1 Challenge to call at least 2 NEW people per day! Here’s what you can look forward to=>

Days 14-18 Social Media Training–a focus on Facebook! (*implementation time included)

Day 19- Using the Facebook inbox feature

Day 20- Using everyday posts to power prospect (a conversation starter is as simple as a “like”)

Day 21- Pinterest

Day 22- SURPRISE

Day 23-25- Social Media Training Part 2- a focus on more favorite social sites & awesome apps (*implementation time included)

Now let’s get rockin! Here’s our first dip into social media for network marketers! Take tons of notes, and use the time through the weekend to be sure your social media profiles are set up, and that you make a few posts using the ideas I share! Be sure you  share this post with your team so they can rock their social media too! Here’s why:

I just hosted a training call and featured one of my friends Debbi C! Debbi is a homeschooling, busy mom of 5 CHILDREN!!! Yet she’s a six-figure earner in our company! How did she hear about the company? She watched her friend Crystal’s posts on Facebook! After seeing a few fabulous before and afters she called her to try the product! Crystal took the conversation offline, and was smart enough to say “before I get you started, I want to tell you that I actually get 25% off doing the business! You should just consider joining!” (<=MILLION DOLLAR TIP*) Debbi said “why not?!” She had no intention of building big, but is now a top leader in our company!

Ready to ROCK this? Here you go (afterwards I’d love to hear your feedback on the training below!)=>

Hey there Rock Stars! Welcome to Day 12 of the 30 Day Challenge to Rock Your Network Marketing Business! #RYNMB30 (It’s not too late to join us! Start your 30 days on whatever day you find this challenge! ) For more info, and for a tracking sheet CLICK HERE!

Our past few challenges have focused on events, and since then I’ve had a lot of people ask what to do when a new team member is doing an event out of state (how do you support them) or what do you do if you have a friend who wants to support you who lives out of state?

I decided to do an impromptu post on Virtual Business Launches (VBLs!)

My Last 2 VBLS with Leah and Gloria, all from the comfort of my poolside office!

My Last 2 VBLS with Leah and Gloria, all from the comfort of my poolside office!

What is a VBL?–it is a cross between a live event and an opportunity call, and it allows you to present powerfully with your team from anywhere in the world. VBLs come in handy when you are growing a market out of state (or the country) and it allows you to support a growing team there! They don’t take the place of in-person events that your team members will have with their local market, but it serves as a great support tool!

Here are the types of technology I like to use for virtual launches and presentations:

Skype– (which has a video component). I’ve heard some like Facetime for one-on-ones. For large groups, I like to hook my computer up to my TV  with a USB cord, and Skype someone in to share so they see them on the “big screen” (you can see the listeners too!) This is how I do business launch events for my partners from out of state. This is a great option when you are presenting remotely to a group that is all gathered in one area.

Instant Teleseminar or FreeConferencing.Com– (which have visual components like screen share, and allow you to show powerpoints and visuals). If you are inviting people from all over the country to listen in, this can be a great alternative for you.

Pick a service, do some research, call their customer service department to do a walk-through, google tutorials, practice, etc!

Here are a few tips on VBLS: What to do Pre-, During, and Post-Event:

  1. Pre-event
Focus on inviting- Connect personally and tell them you’re excited they are coming–along with giving a personal invitation. Send invites and follow up with a call or text or personal FB message. If you are doing the launch via call and having people dial in from all over you could say: “I just sent you an email inviting you to my virtual launch of my new business. It’s 15 mins of your time. You simply hop onto a call & get a free gift for doing so. I think you’ll love it!” Use it as an opportunity to connect with people–and this way they can see what you’re up to!
  1. During the Event:
Give an engaging presentation! Show pictures of you and family–share your story and reason “why”–share your company story (more about your products and opportunity–and share success stories too)!  End with a clear Call To Action: ask them to try the products and set up a time to hear more about the business. If you are doing a phone presentation: “Text me to say you were on and get a free gift” (this allows you to follow up, and ask what they thought)! Offer gifts with purchase by a certain date, etc!
  2. Post Event:
Follow up! “I called to talk about the free gift–have a minute? What did you think of the launch? What questions did you have? Can I give you a recommendation  for your skin? (cater to your product and what you offer) –Then transition into the business: “I think the business would be a great fit for you too, because… (personalize the conversation). Do you have any interest?” Follow up AGAIN after they get the free product–”how are you loving it? Would you like to get started on a full regimen?” (again, cater to your product)

You can also do these VBLS regularly with your entire team, and allow them to invite their guests on weekly –to build interest and exposure! The more people you get your products and opportunity in front of, the greater the chance you have of ROCKIN your home based business!

As you make your 2 NEW contacts today, I want to give you an additional challenge as you make your calls:

Ask a few people to host events for you. Say: “I am serious about expanding my business in <their city>. In exchange for free product, would you host an event for me? You invite your friends, and I will do all the work! ” You can always make these fun and festive for the month of January, as people are in the mindset of making resolutions to look better and live better (you hold the solutions to these resolutions!) Do as many events as possible, as it’s a great way to get your products and opportunity in front of a lot of people at one time! It’s not too late to plan an end of month event–New Year, New YOU theme?! Here’s a video to learn more about the power of events=>

“LIKE” what you learn, please give me “virtual thumbs up” by liking the post, and don’t forget to “SHARE” with your team of rock stars! The more who know, the bigger you GROW! Rock on rock stars!

PS- I have a BIG surprise coming up Wednesday this week! Check the blog, as we will be ROCKING social media strategy together during this challenge, and you won’t want to miss a day of this challenge as we dig into this topic! Details to come…

Hey there Rock Stars! Welcome to Days 9, 10, and 11 of the 30 Day Challenge to Rock Your Network Marketing Business! #RYNMB30 (It’s not too late to join us! Start your 30 days on whatever day you find this challenge! ) For more info, and for a tracking sheet CLICK HERE!

You’ll notice that we are giving you 3 days to work on this challenge, but I still want you contacting your 2 NEW people each day about your business. I want you to take time on this challenge, as it’s a really great way to get your business in front of a lot of people at once, with EVENTS!

Watch this video for some fun and creative ideas on events, and after see the tips below the video on how to have the most effective event=>

[jwplayer mediaid=”1771″]

Below are some tips for a rockin’ event–

PRE-EVENT:

1) Make sure you invite a minimum of 50 people. The rule of thumb is that about one-third of the people you invite will come. Encourage guests to bring friends by noting that on the invitation (the more, the merrier!)

2)  Hard copies of invitations get a better response than e-vites. Send an invitation to everyone, but reach out to everyone with a phone call as well to share your excitement- “I wanted to personally reach out and invite you to my event! Your attendance means the most to me. I’d love to have you come, and feel free to bring a friend! It will be a fun way to catch up and have fun!” Your personal call of appreciation is very powerful and is a sure way to build a more successful event.

3) The fortune is in the follow up! 24-48 hours before the event send a text reminder saying “I’m so excited to see you tomorrow! I so appreciate your support!”

DURING THE EVENT:

1) Have a sign-in sheet to capture contact info for follow up.

2) Have your DVD or presentation set up to play.

3) Have your products displayed so customers can check them out.

4) Have an ordering station set up with product press, order forms, etc.

5) Have your presentation planned (open with your short story, tell the company story- more about the products and opportunity, and have a call to action- tell them how to order and what to do next). You can plan the presentation with your sponsor–if they are local ask if they can come to support you–if they are not local, perhaps they can Skype in, or speakerphone in for support?

POST-EVENT:

1) Call to follow up with your guests within 24 hours. Thank them for coming.  Ask them if they had any interest in the opportunity or products (then take next steps to secure a 3 way call or to place their order). If not, ask them if they know anyone who would be interested in the products or business. Would they be willing to host an event for you in exchange for a free product as a thank you? This is a great way to get in front of more NEW PEOPLE!!!

Challenge: I want to challenge you to put at least 1 new event on your calendar this weekend! And don’t forget to reach out to 2 NEW people each day as well to rock your network marketing business!

Please “LIKE” if you’ve read this, and then “SHARE” with your team! Let’s rock this!

IDEA: Call your customers today. Tell them you are following up to see how they are loving their products. Say “I know you’re loving your products, and I’m sure you’re getting tons of compliments. I wanted to share that if you join me as a consultant, you can actually get them at wholesale pricing, and save a ton of money. When you share your results with others you can send them to your website, and actually earn when you refer them to your site and sign them up! Do you have a few minutes so I could share more?” If they don’t have time say “What would be a good time tomorrow?”

You’re done with week one! A quarter of the way through the challenge! *SHOUT OUT* below with your successes so far, as we’d love to hear them=> Have you made any new appointments? Have you gained any new business partners or customers? Don’t forget to “SHARE” today’s post with your team! It’s one more simple way to ROCK YOUR NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS!

Rock Stars! Welcome to Day 6 of the 30 Day Challenge to Rock Your Network Marketing Business! #RYNMB30 (It’s not too late to join us! Start your 30 days on whatever day you find this challenge! For more info, and for a tracking sheet CLICK HERE! Today I want to talk to you about how to continue to make NEW contacts when you’re out and about, running errands, dropping the kids off at school, etc. Watch the video below, and when you are out of the house make a conscious effort to meet new people (bring your business cards and samples if you have them), and rock your minimum of 2 NEW CONTACTS PER DAY ===>

[jwplayer mediaid=”1729″]

“Who do I talk to today?”

Get Out Of Your House! Go Where The People Are! (*Bring your accountability partner and have fun meeting new people!)

Ideas…

Lifestyle Networking–Look for ways to engage in conversation when you’re out. Give someone a compliment.  Ask a lot of questions. (“Great service. Do you love your job?” or  ”Cute kids. Where do they go to school?” etc.)  Then leave them with a sample. “I’ve loved chatting with you today. I would love to leave you with this gift (tell them more about the sample, and what it does.) I promise you’ll love it. If you promise you’ll try it, I promise I’ll follow up!” Get their name, number, ask if they are on Facebook and “friend them” there. Tell them what time you’ll call, and send them a message to remind them via Facebook. When you call them: “How did you love the product? Before I tell you more about it, I would love to tell you more about what I do!”

People who provide you services—Think about who you’ve been supporting for years (hairdresser, nail tech, realtor, etc.) Approach them and say, “I’ve loved supporting your business for years, and now I’m hoping I can share with you my new business. I’d love for you to refer me on!”

How about people who give you great service at a restaurant, or store: “Thank you for your great service. I am looking for people like you for my business. Can we exchange information? I would love to set a time to chat tomorrow as I know you’re at work, and tell you who I’m looking for, and more about what I do”.

Where do you like to meet new people? Post some ideas below, and please “SHARE” this post with your team! YOU ROCK!

Rock Stars! Welcome to Day 5 of the 30 Day Challenge to Rock Your Network Marketing Business! #RYNMB30 (It’s not too late to join us! Start your 30 days on whatever day you find this challenge! For more info, and for a tracking sheet CLICK HERE! Today I want to talk to you about creating and contacting, and/or refreshing and revisiting your contact list! Watch the video, print the memory jogger on the link below, and rock your minimum of 2 NEW CONTACTS PER DAY! Invite 2 new people to learn more about your business! (If you missed a day, pick right up where you left off!) …

[jwplayer mediaid=”1723″]

Creating Your List & Contact People You Know!- I want you to work on creating or updating your prospect list today. If you’ve been in the business for a while, it may be a good week to revisit people! It’s the New Year, so people have goals to live better, and you could be holding the solution to their resolution! See if their timing has changed–tell them what’s new and exciting in your company!

Go through your phone and Facebook contacts, or a Memory Jogger <= (click here for a great memory jogger)– is it possible there are people there that you haven’t reached out to yet? Call them: “I wanted to share some exciting news with you. I know you’ve built an incredible network in Chicago. I’m not sure if I mentioned this, but I am building my business there and I immediately thought of you because I know how well networked and respected you are there. I’m hoping I could share more about what we’re doing, and who we’re looking to partner with as we expand there, and see if this is a good fit for anyone you know in the area. I’d love to pick your brains and get ideas of how to expand my business there. Do you have just a few minutes so I could share more?” Or, offer to meet them, and treat them for coffee!

After you share more, share your story (how you found the company and why you love it—and what it’s going to do for you)—then share your leader’s success story, and invite them to hear more from them. Third party validation and social proof is powerful: “I’m new, and still learning. I’d love for you to hear from my business partner. She’ll be able to share more and answer your questions”. Invite them on a 3-way call or to coffee with your sponsor, or to the next meeting or event.

This is the exact approach that was used to recruit one of our company’s rock stars Stacey!  My mom and I used to work for her. Stacey and her husband own several successful businesses in Chicago. We both thought of her several times and never called her. The chances are, if you think someone is great, someone else does too. Eventually someone will call them, and in this case, they did! Rose out of Chicago beat us to it! She used a referral-based approach, complimenting Stacey, building on her credibility saying something simple like: “Stacey. I know you’ve built several successful businesses in Chicago, and I know you’re well networked in the Chicagoland area. I respect you. I am building a business in Chicago too. I was wondering if I could treat you to coffee, share with you what I’m doing, and pick your brain on ideas of how to grow this. I’d also like to see if you know people who you think may be interested.”

Stacey met Rose for coffee, came with a list of hundreds of names she was ready to give Rose as referrals, and when she heard the opportunity she decided to come to a meeting to hear more for herself. I happened to be hosting the meeting that night, and in walked Stacey! My stomach hit the floor! She joined us!  Stacey ended up being the top recruiter in the company that year!  She earned her company car, and I have no doubt she will be a million dollar earner someday too.

Don’t pre-judge anyone. You don’t know what their hopes, dreams, desires, and their financial situations are. Usually the most well-connected, successful, busy people get it first, and they run with it! It’s just our job to share, and it’s their job to decide. Remember, if we share what we’re doing with everyone, they can all plug in: as a customer, consultant, or to help us in creating new connections! But they can only do that if they know what you’re doing and if you share your story with them!

Now get to it! Take a deep breath, pick up the phone, and call 2 NEW people on your list today (or 2 prospects you haven’t talked with in a long time!) It’s time to #RYNMB30 (Rock Your Network Marketing Business In 30 Days!)

Please “SHARE” this post with your team (and invite them on the challenge–it’s never too late to start)! And for accountability purposes, *SHOUT OUT* what you’re learning below, I’d love to hear from you=>

It’s Sunday, and I’m snowed in here…so I thought I would share an oldie but goodie story, along with some of my recommended resources (books, CDs) for the 30 day challenge (perfect to snuggle up to on a Sunday)! If you’ve heard the story below share it with your team, and skip down below to the rockin’ resources I recommend! This will also give you some time to catch up on the first few days of blogs for #RYNMB30!

The Story of the Starving Baker–

Have you heard the story about the starving baker? Imagine– there was a brand new, beautiful bakery built right down the road. The aroma of fresh pastries filled the air. This is where hot, delightful treats would be served all day long. You go in. This baker is brilliant. You order your treat, and watch as the baker does his thing! It is magnificent watching. He does everything himself. He cleans the tables, tends to the cash register, bakes the goods, and greets the guests. You start to notice that he’s surprisingly thin. You began to think, “he’s so busy baking for others, he’s forgetting to eat! He’s starving himself”.

#RYNMB30

Are you that starving baker? Most of us are so busy that we fall into starving baker mode. We get so wrapped up in our jobs, the house, errands, and everyone else and their matters that we never push “pause” and take the time to feed ourselves. We feel hollow. Sometimes we feel fake. You are not fake. What you are is a starving baker. You’ve gotten busy and you’ve stopped growing. We’ve all been there before.

Taking time for our personal and professional growth provides nourishment for our souls, and it fuels our minds. It makes us more effective for everyone in our lives we influence—our families, friends, and our teams. You can only go as far as you grow!

I like to spend time each morning devoting attention to my personal and professional growth! It’s the perfect way to power start my day! I don’t start or end my day with emails, TV, text messages, etc. I feed and fuel myself with prayer, devotions, reading personal and professional development materials, and listening to positive and uplifting music.  I even fill in the “empty time” when I drive listening to training CDs, and I make my car a “rolling university”.  I listen to things that teach me how to become a better person, and more effective leader. I am extremely intentional about my daily self-programming so I am more effective as a wife, friend, sister, daughter, and leader. My business can only grow as much as I do.

People ask me all of the time for coaching, and book/ CD recommendations, so I want to share some rockin resources with you. I will be posting more here on the blog from time to time, but I find if I post too much, too soon we become overwhelmed, so start here=>

Rockin Resources From Sarah “Rockin” Robbins=>

Professional Development:

Book to start the Challenge: Rock Your Network Marketing Business by Sarah Robbins (this gives you all of the ideas of how to power prospect and add to your list–and language and ideas to reach out to your “2” every day!) Grab it here.

CD to keep in the car to make it a “rolling university”=> The Network Marketing University (this was my first passion project and has been a top selling CD in the profession! It’s much more detailed, and it’s like having me personally coaching you! It’s the perfect companion to the book, and an excellent way to make the most of your “drive time”! I found out it’s still 52% off here. The lowest price ever offered! That price was supposed to be taken down by Networking Times, so pick it up before they change it here.)

These 2 resources are everything I know, and everything I teach when it comes to network marketing.

Personal Development:

Personal development is, well…a personal thing! I like faith-based trainings to help me grow! I’ve loved Me And My Big Fat Mouth by Joyce Meyer (power of your words), Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer (power of your thoughts), and The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson (power of prayer & big goals). What I suggest you do is to start with one area you want to grow this quarter, ask some friends for suggestions or research books and CDs to help you grow in that area. Then, be consistent in reading/listening a little bit each day!

When blocking out your 10-15 hours of “income producing activity” per week in 2014 (sharing your products and business) be sure to schedule time for personal and professional development too! Remember—you must take control of your time, or your time controls you! The only one who creates your busy schedule is YOU! So outsource where you’re able (hire someone to clean your home, carpool, etc!) Make healthy “exchanges” where you can (it may be time to cut back or completely cut out TV programs). In the process, you are able to prioritize your time without sacrificing your “why” (time spent with friends and family!)

Success truly starts “between the ears”! Grab at least one personal development resource, and one professional development resource and commit to being a student of the profession, and growing in the areas you desire this quarter! It’s important for your team too–they’ll only GO as far as they GROW! A snowy Sunday (or sunny Sunday–depending on where you are) is the perfect time to start!
If you read this, please show me by clicking “LIKE” or “SHOUT OUT” below! Then please “SHARE” with your team–it’s not too late to start the challenge–start whatever day you find this and let’s #RYNMB30 (PS- love those who are communicating with this hashtag to me on My Twitter! Love hearing your goals!)

For those who know my story you know that I was a formerly shy teacher in her 20’s when I found the network marketing profession. I went from being the least highest earner, to the #1 earner in my company, and was earning six-figures per month by the age of 29 years old! Although it may sound impressive and glamorous, I can assure you that my journey was far from glamorous–I was shy, young, and broke. All of my friends were young and broke like me. Through my committment to personal and professional growth, I was able to establish a system and get others off to a great start. Now I’ve mentored many six- and seven-figure annual earners on my team! I share this simple system in my best-selling book Rock Your Network Marketing Business!

In the book I share my story–successes and failures, achievements and disappointments. I give a ton of power prospecting ideas, language /scripts. I also share how many people I had to talk to (thousands), how many I recruited (hundreds), and how many people went on to a good portion of our team (3)!

If you are taking this challenge, and really plan on being successful, I believe in setting proper expectations of what it could take for you to be successful as you are working through your own set of odds. Therefore, I want to share a 30-minute talk (my most requested when I’m asked to do speaking engagements) on what it takes to build big–you’ll learn more about your odds (which will help to establish proper expectations), as well as some fun power-prospecting ideas that you can implement during the 30 Day Challenge!

I am sharing this video on a weekend, as that’s when I like to catch up on my professional development and video type trainings. Get cozy, watch it at your leisure this weekend, and enjoy! Then, please leave a comment on YouTube sharing what you learned, and to stay accountable share what best practices you plan on implementing during the challenge!

Watch, enjoy, and then “share” with your team to inspire them, and don’t forget to comment with what you’ve learned! I will read them all! =>
